Typical Chinese Meal
To the Chinese, a meal usually constitutes rice
or noodl or another grain, with a few dishes. The more the dishes,
the more festive and special the occasion. Whatever the number of
dishes, they should be well balanced so that in one meal a variety
of foods are eaten.
Laying the table
In a dinning table, for each place setting there are usually one
rice bowl, a matching saucer, soup spoon and a pair of chopsticks.
Dishes are put in the middle of table to be shared by diners.
